SRM University CGPA System
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM University) follows a 10-point grading system to measure student performance. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is worked out using the grades received in all subjects, along with their credit weightage, across every semester.
In this system, SRM uses letter grades starting from S (Excellent) to U (Unsatisfactory). Each grade matches a certain grade point. Your CGPA shows your overall academic performance during your entire course of study.

SRM CGPA Calculation Formula
CGPA = Σ (Course Grade × Course Credits) / Σ (Course Credits)
This formula works by multiplying each course grade with its credits, adding them all together, and then dividing by the total credits across semesters.
S SRM Percentage Conversion
Percentage = CGPA × 10. For instance, a CGPA of 8.5 means 85%.
C Credit System
At SRM, most courses carry 3 or 4 credits, though credits can range from 1 to 5.
