SRM University GPA System
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM University) follows a 10-point grading system to measure student performance. The Grade Point Average (GPA) is worked out by using the grades earned in each subject along with their credit values.
At SRM, grades range from S (Outstanding) to U (Unsatisfactory). Each grade is given a specific point value. The GPA shows your overall academic performance for that semester and is one of the most important indicators of your results.

SRM GPA Calculation Formula
GPA = Σ (Course Grade × Course Credits) / Σ (Course Credits)
This formula adds up each course’s grade points multiplied by its credit value, then divides by the total credits. The result is your semester GPA.
S Percentage Conversion
SRM converts GPA to percentage using: Percentage = GPA × 10. For instance, GPA 8.5 = 85%.
C Credit System
Most SRM courses carry 3 to 4 credits, but credit values can range from 1 to 5.
